Autistically Artistic
Artistically Autistic
The exhibition exists of 3 sub-exhibitions. Which take 3 kinds of experiences to represent the wide range of ways an autistic artist can interpret and deal with the experience.
There are more experiences an autistic can go through, this is a small selection curated in favor of autistic advocacy, representation and empowerment.
The sub-exhibits A, B and C include 4 artworks or projects from 4 different creators. The different pieces are aiming to represent the diversity of autistic artists, the diversity of interpretation, and the diversity of creation. This is a reflection of the diversity within the autistic population.
Keeping in mind the quote from Dr Stephen Shore, that many autistics live by:
'If you've met one person with autism, you've met one person with autism.'
